2005 CRN Family
and Medical Conference--A Huge Success!
The Cystinosis Research Network Medical and Family
Conference was held at the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort
in Salt Lake City, Utah July 28 – July 30. Members
of the Cystinosis community came from all over the world
for three days of presentations, workshops, and family
networking. Clinicians and researchers presented leading
edge information, answered questions and shared their
insights. The theme was “Ain’t No Mountain
High Enough,” and highlights of the conference
included: |

clinicians
• Interactive Q&A session with esteemed medical
panel that included over 14 medical professionals with expertise
in areas of cystinosis research
• Break-out sessions designed to target specific issues
within different age groups
• Daycare throughout the conference, which included
craft activities, face painting, a visit from a clown, and
more
• Daily continental breakfast and two additional meals
provided
• Beautiful setting in the mountains with plenty of
family activities, such as swimming, hiking, bungee jumping,
alpine slide, zip rider, and tram to the top of the mountain!
